Job cuts are looming for employees of new super brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev in the UK, according to a report.

An e-mail memo circulated by senior management warns of "potential redundancies" across the UK division of the global beer giant, according to the Independent on Sunday newspaper, quoting directly from the e-mail.

An A-B InBev spokesperson was not immediately available for comment this morning (08 December).

InBev's US$52bn takeover of US-based A-B, which gained final approval from regulatory authorities last month, represents the largest deal in brewing history.

Sectors: Beer & cider
