New World Coffee-Manhattan Bagel, Inc. today announced that veteran foodservice advertising and marketing executive David R. Ammons has joined the company as Vice President- Marketing.

Ammons brings over 27 years experience in the marketing and advertising of quick service restaurants at both the corporate and agency levels, working with such industry leaders as Dunkin' Donuts, Baskin Robbins, Taco Bell, KFC, Burger King and Arby's. In his new role, he will oversee all external and in-store advertising and marketing programs for New World's four brands (Manhattan Bagel, Chesapeake Bagel Bakery, New World Coffee and Willoughby's Coffee & Tea), directing the Company's in-house marketing team as well as outside agencies.

Most recently, Ammons served as Director of Field Marketing for Allied Domecq Retailing, USA, overseeing multi-brand marketing of Dunkin' Donuts, Baskin Robbins and Togo's in over 70 markets. From 1992 to 1996, he was Vice President-Management Supervisor/Partner at Foote Cone & Belding and later, Bozell Worldwide, managing the firms' Philadelphia, Atlanta and Chicago offices on the Taco Bell account. Ammons moved to Bozell when the Taco Bell account shifted from FCB. Positions earlier in his career included Vice President-Management Supervisor at Tracy-Locke Advertising; where he was responsible for marketing, advertising, in-store merchandising and promotions for Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in the Eastern U.S.; and Director of Marketing for Burger King Corporation's Northeast operations.

A resident of Yardley, PA, Ammons holds a BS degree in business administration from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio.
