Australia's Coca Cola Amatil drink company is still intent on expansion into the fruit juice market despite official regulators' rejection of its bid for the Berri juice company last year.

CC-Amatil's managing director Terry Davis said the company would be seeking a less spectacular market entrance within the next year. It was reviewing the market to decide whether to start a green fields operation or acquire a small brand and build on it.

Davis said bottled water was the company's first priority with fruit juice rated four or five while milk drinks were much lower in priority.
