The Lafragette & Legier (L&L) Group, the owner of Alizé liqueur, has bought independent Cognac brand A de Fussigny for an undisclosed sum.

Alizé International, L&L Group's international marketing division, is to distribute and market A de Fussigny's Cognac portfolio in domestic and travel-retail markets in Asia/Pacific. The product range comprises the A de Fussigny Collection, a selection of aged Champagne cognacs, and two brands aimed at younger consumers - For Men and NYAK.

Alizé International managing director Lewis Johnstone said: "A de Fussigny fits neatly alongside our collection of excellent wines, Cognacs and liqueurs and we relish the prospect of promoting this fine brand around the world."
