Alizé has introduced a new rose blend to its line-up of flavoured liqueurs.

The brand's new addition, which is set to launch this spring, is a vodka-only based liqueur called Alizé Rose, said L&L, SA, the French producer of the drink, yesterday (19 April).

The beverage is a blend of French vodka, passion fruit juice, strawberries, lychees and Mediterranean rose petals and was inspired by the Pink Chateau and antique rose garden at Chateau Loudenne in France.

The recipe is a slight departure from Alizé's traditional recipes which are made with a Cognac base.

Kobrand president Charles Palombini said: "Over the past twenty years we've had great success with the Alizé franchise; rather than produce a flavour for the sake of doing something new, we waited until we discovered the perfect compliment to our already distinctive line of exotic cordials."

Alizé also plans to showcase a new look, unveiling fresh packaging and bottle design across all of its five flavours. The redesign includes a taller, frosted bottle with an updated logo. Retail value is planned at US$24.99 for 750ml and US$28.99 for 1 litre.
