The Egyptian beers, wines and soft drinks group, Al-Ahram Beverages, is seeking a "strategic investor" to buy a majority stake in the company, according to report from the MENA news agency.

The company's market capitalisation was around E£882m ($191m) at the end of July. Al Ahram is the only beermaker in Egypt, having acquired its competitor, El Gouna Beverages Group, last year.
