AG Barr has introduced festive packaging, with images of 'The Snowman', for its Irn-Bru drinks range.

The UK soft drinks producer said today (6 December) that it has teamed up with Alcan Packaging - Food Europe to redesign the recently updated film labels for both the Original drink and the Diet version on its two-litre bottles.

Alcan Packaging account manager Peter McAleavey said: "We're delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with Barr Soft Drinks again for the Irn-Bru Christmas labels. Our early involvement in the project allowed us to successfully adapt the design to suit the print process and the customer's requirements, resulting in the best possible finish and without any compromise to the design."

The company will be stepping up marketing and promotional activity behind its Irn-Bru brand over the Christmas period, with a marketing push including a national television advertising campaign. The Christmas ad campaign forms part of the company's GBP7m (US$14.2m) annual spend on the brand, and will be supported with limited-edition labelling, featuring images from its Snowman TV adverts, and price promotions on all 330ml, 500ml and 2-litre packs.
