The Irn-Bru owner said today that the San Benedetto Group's namesake premium soft drink will launch in the market from February. The roll out comprises Limone (Lemon) and Clementina (Orange) flavours.

San Benedetto will carry an RRP of GBP0.85 (US$1.15) per 33cl slim can.

"Soft drinks shoppers are looking for premium, exciting and indulgent products that deliver on taste, and this trend has helped drive 15% growth in high fruit adult carbonates," said Adrian Troy, marketing director at AG Barr. "However many of these products are high in sugar at a time when consumers are looking to reduce their sugar intake."

He said San Benedetto contains 12% juice, with less than 5g of sugar per 10cl.

San Benedetto Group is active in around 100 countries.
