AG Barr has posted a slight dip in pretax profits for the six months to 30 July. The soft drinks company said today (27 September) that pretax income for the period dipped to GBP7.99m (US$14.2m) from GBP8.2m a year earlier.
In a statement, chief executive Roger White said: "There is a considerable momentum of change in both the soft drinks market and within our company operations.
"I am pleased to report that we are continuing to make good financial progress at the same time as we accelerate the development of our brands and product portfolio.
"The investment programme in our Scottish sales and logistics infrastructure announced earlier this year commenced in April and we have so far made very good progress towards all our financial and operational objectives," White added.
Trading in the first seven weeks of the second half of this year is in line with the group's business plans, White noted.
Revenue for the six-month period was up slightly, to GBP66.29m from GBP66.27m.
