Adnams has posted its figures for the first six months of this year. The UK brewer said yesterday (11 August) that pretax profit leapt to GBP2.3m from a restated GBP832,000 for the corresponding period a year earlier.

Turnover for the six months rose slightly to GBP21.1m from GBP20.5m.

In a filing to OFEX, chairman Simon Loftus said: "The trading environment has been difficult but our company is in good shape and progressing with developments that will strengthen it still further in the future.

"I am happy to announce a modest increase of 3.7% in the Interim Dividend, in line with our policy that we shall normally pay an Interim Dividend that is 35% of the total dividend paid in the preceding year," Loftus added.
