Accolade Wines has lined up its latest sport-related sponsorship deal, with New Zealand wine brand Mud House set to be a sponsor of next year's British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand.

The company, which has partnerships with cricket through Hardy's and with tennis through Anakena, announced today that Mud House will be an official sponsor of the Lions rugby tour, which takes place every four years. The deal will cost Accolade in the region of GBP2m (US$2.8m).

Former New Zealand skipper Sean Fitzpatrick and England former winger Jason Robinson have been recruited as brand ambassadors for Mud House.

As part of the arrangement, Mud House will also sponsor all Southern Hemisphere rugby coverage on Sky Sports UK throughout 2016. This includes the Super Rugby, The Rugby Championship, New Zealand's Mitre 10 Cup and South Africa's Currie Cup.

Next year's Lions tour comprises ten matches played between 3 June and 8 July, including three Test matches against New Zealand's international team.
