Pernod Ricard has confirmed a change of leadership at The Absolut Co

Earlier this week, in an appointment announcement for North America, Pernod noted the departure of Mauve Croizat from the division. Croizat is moving to become the group's MD of Sweden & Northern Europe.

just-drinks has subsequently discovered that Croizat is set to replace Stéphanie Durroux in the regional leadership position, as Durroux is now the new CEO of The Absolut Company. The appointment, which also includes a seat on Pernod's executive committee, signals the departure of Anna Malmhake, who has been the lead at Absolut since mid-2016.

Malmhake, who started working for Pernod in 2007, had held two positions that incorporated executive committee membership: She was CEO of the Irish Distillers unit for almost five years, from late-2011 to mid-2016.

Pernod confirmed Durroux's replacement of Malmhake to just-drinks today.

In a LinkedIn posting from Absolut late last month, Malmhake said she was leaving Pernod for "a new position in the tech industry".

"My years with Pernod Ricard were fantastic, and the decision to leave was not easy," Malmhake said. "Closed borders and restricted travelling have forced me to choose London as my permanent base for the future."
