Shares in New Zealand-based vodka producer, 42 Below, jumped 11% on the news that the company had signed a distribution deal with New York distributor Eber Brothers.

The spirits company said that Eber had pledged to make New York the largest US market for the vodka brand. The two companies have agreed a five-year deal.

With sales of nearly US$500m, Eber Bros is the 13th largest distributor in the US, with brands such as Veuve-Cliquot and Jim Beam in its portfolio.
