Spirits company Russian Vodka House, is to spend £1m on advertising and marketing of its recently rebranded Sputnik Vodka.
The advertising, shot in Russia, is based on a fantasy airline "Sputnik Airways". The creative features photography of the airline's Sputnik air hostesses serving Sputnik Vodka to their passengers. The purpose of the campaign is deliberately mysterious and consumers are enticed to www.sputnikairways.ru to learn more, the company said.
The print based campaign will be placed initially on the London Underground before appearing in a print campaign later in the year and will be supported by PR and sampling activity. The rebrand and advertising is designed to establish Sputnik Vodka as one of the leading independent Russian vodkas in the minds of style-conscious consumers in the UK.
