All water categories enjoyed positive growth in Q4-16 as did iced/RTD tea drinks and still drinks, but the energy drinks market was the real winner with double-digit growth. The juice, nectars and sports drinks categories all suffered from a single-digit decline in consumption in Q4-16, impacted by the on-going sugar debate. The dairy category saw a slight fall in growth in Q4-16 for white milk, traditional fermented milk and drinking. Beer and cider consumption were both up in Q4-16 driven by the festive season.
