Increasing prices of food and beverages resulted in a decline for the soft drinks market in Q4-16. Nearly all soft drinks categories reported declines except for enhanced water and energy drinks. Energy drinks sales were maintained by younger consumers attracted by various international players marketing campaigns, whereas enhanced water volume was sustained by health conscious consumers.
