The proportion of drinks manufacturing and supply companies hiring for cloud-related positions increased markedly in the month of August compared to the same period a year earlier, according to recent research.

An analysis conducted by GlobalData found that 63.3% of the beverage companies included in the company’s research set recruited for at least one position in this area. In August 2020, the proportion was 52%.

On a month-to-month basis, the rate was flat compared to July.

Of the total number of positions advertised by beverage companies in August, 1.6% were cloud-related, up from 1% in the same month in 2020.

 

 

The company's analysis of the data shows that drinks manufacturing and supply companies are currently hiring for cloud-related jobs at a lower rate than the average for all companies within GlobalData's job analytics database, which in August stood at 5.1%.
