The proportion of beverage manufacturing and supply companies hiring for Artificial Intelligence-related positions in August was in line with the previous month, with 30% of the companies included in GlobalData’s analysis recruiting for at least one such position.

The latest figure was the same as the 30% of drinks companies hiring for AI jobs in July, and an increase compared to 28% in the corresponding month a year earlier.

When it comes to the proportion of all job openings linked to AI, related job postings rose in August, with 0.6% of newly-posted job advertisements linked to the topic. This represents a decrease compared to the 0.8% of newly-advertised jobs that were linked to artificial intelligence in the equivalent month a year ago.

Artificial intelligence is one of the topics that GlobalData has identified as being a key disruptive force facing companies in the coming years. Companies that invest in such areas now are expected to be better prepared for the future business landscape and better equipped to survive unforeseen challenges.

An analysis of the data shows that drinks manufacturing and supply companies are currently hiring for AI jobs at a lower rate compared to the average for all companies within GlobalData's job analytics database. The average among all companies in August stood at 1.6%.

GlobalData's job analytics database tracks the daily hiring patterns of thousands of companies across the world, monitoring jobs as they're posted and tagging them with additional layers of data from the seniority of each position to whether a job is linked to wider industry trends.
