This compares to a 125% increase versus Q3 2021.

Notably, Dining Room and Cafeteria Attendants and Bartender Helpers jobs accounted for a 3% share of the global consumer industry’s social responsibility-related total new job postings in Q3 2022, up 7% over the prior quarter.

Dining Room and Cafeteria Attendants and Bartender Helpers, with a share of 3%, emerged as the top social responsibility-related job roles within the consumer industry in Q3 2022, with new job postings rising by 7% quarter-on-quarter. General and Operations Managers came in second with a share of 3% in Q3 2022, with new job postings rising by 22% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent social responsibility roles include First-Line Supervisors of Production and Operating Workers with a 3% share in Q3 2022, Driver/Sales Workers and Truck Drivers with a 2% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in consumer industry accounted for 13% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q3 2022 were Stonegate PubLtd, Rich Products, Pizza Hut and Sodexo. Together they accounted for a combined share of 13% of all social responsibility-related active jobs in the consumer industry.

Stonegate PubLtd posted 4,253 social responsibility-related new jobs in Q3 2022, Rich Products 2,689 jobs, Pizza Hut 2,389 jobs, and Sodexo 1,330 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 68% share of total active job postings, Q3 2022

The largest share of social responsibility-related new job postings in the consumer industry in Q3 2022 was in the US with 68% followed by the UK (15%) and Canada (3%). The share represented by the US was 0.83 percentage points higher than the 67% share it accounted for in Q2 2022.
