Earlier this week, US trade body The Brewers Association released its annual chart listing the largest brewers in the country in volume terms in 2016. Here is the top 50.

Nineteenth-placed Sapporo USA is the new name for Sleeman Breweries, which in 2015 held the 16th spot. The star performer was Belgium-based Duvel Moortgat, which rose ten places to number 12. New entry Artisanal Brewing Ventures (22) is a recently-formed company, combining Victory Brewing Co  - 33rd in 2015 - and Southern Tier Brewing - 40th.
