In a bid to make the EU's wine industry more competitive, simplify the regulatory structure and reduce intervention, new EU wine regulations are to be unveiled in 12 months' time. David Haworth discussed the aims of the new structure with European Union Commissioner for Agriculture, Mrs Mariann Fischer Boel.
