Dr Pepper Snapple Group's move for Bai Brands was the biggest story in the company's fourth quarter

Ahead of the release on Tuesday of Dr Pepper Snapple Group's (DPSG) results for the fourth quarter and the 12 months of 2016, here's a look at the events that shaped the three months to the end of December for the soft drinks group.

In the group's most recent set of results:

  • YTD net profits jumped 17.8% to US$682m
  • Net sales in nine months to end of September rose 2.6% to $4.86bn
  • Operating profits lifted 12.5% to $1.1bn
  • Q3 net profits rose 18.8% to $240m
  • Net sales in the three-month period increased 3% to $1.68bn
  • Operating profits were up 10.7% to $373m
  • Bottler case sales volumes increased 1% in YTD, up 2% in Q3
