Ahead of the release on Thursday of Constellation Brands' results for its fourth quarter and full-year 2017, here's a look at the events that shaped the three months to the end of February for the company.

Constellation Brands will report its Q4 & FY2017 results tomorrow

In Constellation's results for the nine months to the end of November:

  • Net profits were up 34% to US$1.1bn
  • Net sales surged 14% to $5.7bn
  • Operating profits leapt 25% to $1.7bn
  • Third-quarter net profits jumped 50% to $406m
  • Net sales in the three months to the end of November rose 10% to $1.8bn
  • Operating profits increased 19% to $534m

Constellation Brands Full-Year 2017 - Net Sales to-date versus 2016

We can expect a sales beat for Constellation in its fiscal-2017, with all three quarters in the year-to-date performing well versus the corresponding period a year earlier. Only $845m is required in the final quarter: In Q4 2016, sales totalled $1.5bn.
