W.J. Deutsch & Sons has extended its coverage in the north-west of the US through a tie-up with Southern Wine & Spirits of America and The Odom Corporation.

The wine and spirits marketer confirmed late last week that it has signed a distribution and brokerage agreement with Odom-Southern, a JV between the two distribution companies. Deutsch’s portfolio, which includes wine brands Yellow Tail and Georges Duboeuf, and Luksusowa vodka, will now roll out in the states of Washington, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.

Odom-Southern will exclusively market and sell Deutsch's wine portfolio in Oregon and Washington state, and Deutsch's wine and spirits in Alaska. Odom-Southern will also be the exclusive broker for wine and spirits in Utah and Wyoming as well as for spirits in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

The arrangement took effect from Thursday (1 September).

Deutsch and Southern already have existing brokerage agreements in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, New York, South Carolina, Nevada, New Mexico and Mississippi.
