Winecorp is easing further into the German market with an order of 150 000 cases of wine, while announcing the appointment of a sales director for the country.

The company's MD, Vernon Davis, announced that Thomas Schoetler has been appointed to grow the German market, which he saw as a vital link in developing the company's Spier, Longridge and Savanha ranges.

Davis said the wines, from across the portfolio would sell for €3.99, which was above the fighting range of €3.00 where about 80% of wine sold in Germany.
