ARGENTINA: Wine exports up 20% for first nine months

The Instituto Nacional de Vitivinicultura (INV) has reported that Argentine wine and must exports reached US$347.3m for the period from January to September, up 20% year-on-year.
The organisation also stated late last week that wine and must exports for September were US$47.65m, representing a 15% increase from the corresponding period a year earlier. The INV said Argentina exported some 310,597 hectolitres of wine, with a FOB (free-on-board) value of US$35m, in September, up 12% from September 2005. In volume terms, wine exports were 38% up from last September.
