William Grant & Sons has used CEDC in Poland since 2000

William Grant & Sons has extended its distribution tie-up in Poland with Central European Distribution Corp (CEDC).

The UK-based spirits company, which owns the Grant's and Glenfiddich Scotch whisky brands, said earlier today (8 May) that CEDC will handle the distribution of its full portfolio for a further five years. The deal is an extension of the agreement that began in 2000.

“CEDC has shown dedication and professionalism in helping us build our brands to significant positions in Poland,” said William Grant's chief commercial officer, Simon Hunt. “As we consolidate our portfolio, we believe that CEDC has the capacity to further strengthen these positions and leverage the power of our fantastic portfolio.”

According to figures released last month, Poland is the 17th largest export market for Scotch whisky in value terms, and tenth largest in terms of volumes.
