RUSSIA: William Grant names Roust as distributor
William Grant & Sons has appointed Roust to handle two key brands in Russia.
The UK family-owned distiller said this weekend that Roust would distribute its single malt whisky brand Glenfiddich and blended Scotch Grant's, which have outpaced their categories in Russia over the last three years.
James Doherty, William Grant & Sons' regional director for developing markets said: "With their vast experience of working with premium brands in Russia and their excellent distribution capability, Roust are an ideal partner to help us realise our ambitious plans to grow our brands, as we look to significantly boost investment behind our award-winning portfolio in Russia."
Roust's general manager Dimitri Kalinin, said the company was "delighted" to have been chosen to handle William Grant's "prestigious brand portfolio".
William Grant & Sons has also appointed its own country manager for Russia. Vladimir Voloshin, who joins Grant's from its Estonian distributor Altia Eesti, will be based in Moscow and will work directly with Roust.
