ITALY: Wholesalers accuse CCHBC of price discrimination - report

Italian soft drink wholesalers have reportedly accused Coca-Cola HBC's local unit of abusing its position as the distributor of Coke products in central and northern Italy.
Italgrob, which represents 40% of distributors in Italy, has asked the country's competition watchdog to intervene after it said CCHBC had started applying "discriminating conditions of sales (versus) wholesalers", a Dow Jones report said yesterday (9 May).
Coca-Cola HBC Italia officials could not be reached for comment as just-drinks went to press.
