UK: Wells & Young's gives Estrella Damm UK TV boost

Grupo Damm's Estrella Damm beer brand is set to benefit from a marketing push in the UK.

The beer's distributor in the country, Wells and Young’s Brewery Co, said earlier this week that it will invest GBP3.5m (US$5.7m) on the brand, with the centrepiece of the campaign being a television advert, Estrella Damm's first in the UK. The ad, which broke this week, can be viewed below.

Running through the summer on Channel 4, the ad will also run on the brand's UK Facebook page from this week.

Estrella Damm has become a higher profile brand for Wells & Young's after the company lost the licensing rights for Diageo's Red Stripe and Grupo Modelo's Corona Extra beer brands last year.
