By | 13 October 2003

The Swedish state-owned drinks producer Vin & Sprit is expanding into Denmark, according to local press reports today.

The company is to introduce new brands onto the Danish market including Renat and Carlshamns Flaggpunsch. It will also open a number of new stores, taking its total in the country to 50.

The move follows the increase in Swedish cross border shopping in Denmark after the Danish cut in alcohol taxes at the beginning of October. The stores are to be located on the Swedish-Danish borders in order to capitalise on the phenomenum.

Sectors: Beer & cider, Spirits, Wine
