Vranken-Pommery has posted its figures for 2003. The French champagne maker yesterday announced that net attributable profit last year rose to €10.5m (US$12.4m) compared to €6.9m in 2002. Operating profit also rose, to €39.5m from €36.7m year-on-year.

In January, the company said that turnover for 2003 hit €251.6m, a rise of 9.2% on 2002. Vranken-Pommery also announced that it had sold over 16m bottles of Champagne in last year.

The company's general shareholders' meeting will vote on 9 July on the payment of a €0.75 per share net dividend.
