By just-drinks.com editorial team | 1 November 2006
Vintrust has launched a wine buying guide as part of its services aimed at wine collectors.
The US wine asset management company said yesterday (30 October) that 'SOMMselections Wine Journal' will be available quarterly, and includes recommendations and reviews of wines from Vintrust's network of sommeliers around the US.
The first issue was sent to Vintrust clients late last month, and includes reviews of wines selected and submitted by 20 sommeliers from across the US.
"SOMMselections Wine Journal is a new and unique kind of wine publication that offers more objective reviews by trained wine professionals and multiple perspectives on truly special wines," said Lisa Minucci, the editor of the journal.
Vintrust was founded in 2003 by André de Baubigny, a former investment banker and attorney, and Timothy Komada, a former technology executive and management consultant. Last month, the California-based company began operations at a new wine storage and inventory facility in New York, which will serve the city and the entire north-eastern US.
