US: Twin Fin packaging move aims for the beach

Twin Fin has unveiled a new packaging idea.
The Pacific Wine Partners brand, which was launched in the US last year, will be available in a four-pack of 187ml bottles. 'The Beach Cruiser', as the concept is known, will be launched next month for a suggested retail price of US$9.99, and will offer the Twin Fin Chardonnay and California Cabernet Sauvignon.
The four-pack has been designed for picnics, campouts, and beach parties. The bottles will be screwcap, and will soon change from glass to PET.
"The Beach Cruiser offers a way to inject a dose of fun into the traditional 187ml market," said Mandy Roth, associate brand manager for Twin Fin, yesterday (28 March). "We're riding the momentum of steady growth in the premium 187ml category, and Twin Fin hopes to up the ante yet again."
The company has also teamed up with the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit environmental organisation aiming to protect oceans and beaches in the US. A portion of proceeds from wine sales will be donated to the foundation.
Pacific Wine Partners is part of Constellation Wines US, itself an operating division of Constellation Brands.
