US: Trump vodka to hit Canadian market
Drinks Americas Holdings is taking its super-premium Trump vodka out of the US for the first time.
The US-based company said yesterday (18 January) that it has received orders for the vodka for duty-free shops in Ontario and Quebec.
Product is being shipped to Peace Bridge Duty Free of Fort Erie, Ontario - the largest duty free land border operator in Canada - and Importations Guay Ltee., of Quebec.
Drinks Americas said that it hopes to expand distribution to other duty-free shops in Europe and Asia, as well as high-end cruise lines. Drinks Americas is collaborating with its distributor, Haleybrooke International, its marketer of duty-free sales channels worldwide.
"The Trump trademark is a globally recognised brand and a perfect fit for the duty free market, a luxury goods business," said company president and CEO Patrick Kenny. "As we continue to further our distribution across the US, we believe the international markets represent significant opportunity to drive revenue growth."
Earlier this week, Drinks Americas confirmed that its Trump vodka is being rolled out across Nevada.
