UK: Treasury Wines Estates signs up ex-cricket captains for Wolf Blass push

By | 11 July 2013

Treasury Wines Estates has signed up two former England cricket captains to feature in TV idents as part of Wolf Blass' sponsorship of Sky Sports' Ashes coverage.

Andrew Strauss and Michael Vaughan will appear in the brief spots that will be shown throughout each day’s play on Sky Sports, during replays and also on 'catch-up TV', TWE said yesterday (10 July). TWE announced in May that it will co-sponsor Sky's television coverage of this year's two Ashes cricket series with its Wolf Blass wine brand.

Andrew Carter, MD of Treasury Wine Estates EMEA, said: “We are incredibly excited to have two inspiring leaders like Andrew and Michael signing up to be Wolf Blass brand ambassadors for this year’s Ashes.”

Strauss captained England for the victorious 2009 and 2011 Ashes series and Vaughan skippered the 2005 win.
