Private equity group Terra Firma has sold UK off-licence chain Threshers.

The chain was sold late last week to an investment consortium led by Edmund Truell. Financial details for the transaction were not disclosed.

Terra Firma Capital Partners bought the Thresher Group for GBP225m (US$448.2) from Whitbread and Punch seven years ago.

No-one was available for further comment at Threshers, when contacted by just-drinks today (5 June).

Threshers operates its namesake off-licences, as well as Wine Rack, The Local, and Haddows in Scotland
