The Seagram Spirits And Wine Group (SSWG) has announced today the appointment of Steve Bellini as President, North America. Effective immediately, Mr. Bellini succeeds Fernando Kfouri, following his decision to step aside from day-to-day operational responsibilities. Mr. Kfouri will continue as Chairman, North America.

In his new role, Mr. Bellini is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of Seagram's spirits portfolio in the U.S. and its spirits and wine portfolio in Canada. Based in New York, he is a member of the SSWG Executive Management Group and reports to Steve Kalagher, President & CEO, The Seagram Spirits And Wine Group.

Mr. Bellini's career with Seagram spans over 25 years, starting in 1972 as a Sales Representative in the Metro New York area. Over the years he has held executive positions of increasing responsibility in Seagram's North American business, including Senior Vice President/General Manager, Atlantic Pacific Region. In 1997, he headed the North American reengineering effort, a key assignment that determined operational efficiencies, organizational realignments and new systems that have contributed significantly to Seagram's recent business success. A strong leader, Mr. Bellini has extensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the industry.

Mr. Kfouri has enjoyed a highly successful career with Seagram in both North and Latin America, having joined Seagram in 1982 as President, Seagram do Brasil and subsequently assumed the role of President, Seagram Latin America. In January 1995, Fernando was named President, Seagram Americas. Following the SSWG global reorganization, Mr. Kfouri continued to have direct responsibility for the profitable growth of Seagram's distilled spirits business and further development of Seagram brand franchises in the United States and Canada.
