The Good Whey Co. today announces the arrival of Blueberry & Raspberry Upbeat, an exciting new flavour for the great tasting pure dairy drink that’s high in protein. The new flavour initially launches around mid June in Tesco and early July in Holland & Barrett.

Blueberry & Raspberry is the third addition to the range, adding to Mango & Passion Fruit and Strawberry flavours announced when Upbeat launched in February last year. Made with the finest fruit purefrom real blueberries and raspberries, the new flavour is not only tasty, it also provides consumers with an easy source of protein – making it the perfect way for them to kick start their day this summer.

Just like the existing flavours, the new addition comes in a convenient 250ml bottle, contains 20g of protein, and brings the benefits of a high quality source of protein to a very wide audience at a time when unhealthy snacking and obesity remain high on people's agenda. Made from fresh British milk and containing just 150 calories, the new berry medley flavour contains super fruit, which can help to prevent and repair damage to your body's tissue. Upbeat is also free from artificial colours and flavours, low in fat and has half the sugar found in most fruit juices and smoothies. That’s why it’s a great option for all health conscious consumers.

Protein, as the most filling of foods, is especially important in the morning as it helps set busy people up for the day, so they're more likely to resist the temptation of the biscuit tin - keeping them track throughout the day.

The Good Whey Co was set up as a new venture last year by Volac, a family owned British business run by Mark Neville and his two brothers. Originally founded by Neville's Grandfather over 40 years ago, the company remains one of the UK's fastest growing dairy companies and Europe's largest producer of Whey protein for the sports nutrition market, with a turnover in excess of £250m.

Mark Neville, owner and Director of Human Nutrition at Volac, said, “We're delighted to be able to offer our customers this exciting new flavour. It comes just in time for the summer sun when people are bound to be out and about, and in need of a healthy and tasty protein fix when life takes over. Since our launch last year, we're now ranged in a great variety of stores, from supermarket shelves to petrol forecourts, and have extended distribution dramatically across Tesco, Waitrose and Holland & Barrett."

Existing Mango & Passion Fruit and Strawberry flavours are available in Tesco, Waitrose, Holland & Barrett, WHSmiths Travel, Ocado and Palmer and Harvey RSP £1.79 for a 250ml bottle.
