USA: The Coca-Cola Company's First Personal TV Advertising Campaign Will Make National Debut on ReplayTV Service Next Month
Coca-Cola will choose from a full range of advertising capabilities offered by the ReplayTV Service, including title sponsorship of an editorial ReplayZone, banner ads and call-to-action screens that let viewers find more information. Many other innovative interactive concepts also are being developed for the ReplayTV Service. In addition, ReplayTV and Coca-Cola have the opportunity to develop cross-promotions.
"We are always looking for new and inventive ways to connect people with Coca-Cola. We've chosen the ReplayTV Service to launch our personal television advertising campaign because it offers an innovative approach in creating relationships with TV viewers," said Chuck Fruit, Coca-Cola Company vice president and director for media and marketing assets. "As the leading personal television service, ReplayTV knows how to position our brand effectively in distinctive ways that will appeal to viewers at direct points of interest."
With ReplayTV, viewers can pause, instant replay, rewind, fast forward, frame advance and watch in slow motion their favorite live sports events and TV shows. Using ReplayTV personal television technology with the free ReplayTV Service, viewers don't have to miss their favorite programs since ReplayTV automatically searches, finds and records them for anytime playback.
Viewers can also create personal channels based on themes or shows using ReplayZones. Every time viewers sit down to watch TV, the most current episodes of their favorite shows are available on ReplayTV.
"Coca-Cola is the world's most-widely recognized brand, and we are delighted that The Coca-Cola Company has chosen the ReplayTV Service for the debut of its first personal television advertising campaign. We will continue to work closely with Coca-Cola to ensure their brands and messages are conveyed in a personalized, innovative, and entertaining way throughout the ReplayTV Service," said Michael Teicher, senior vice president of advertising sales for ReplayTV, Inc.
The free ReplayTV Service guarantees viewers will never miss their favorite shows by giving them the ability to create their own on-demand television schedules filled with shows and movies they have picked. With the ReplayTV Service, viewers can create their own personal channels, such as a "Friends" channel, where the latest episode of the popular sitcom is always available for viewing. ReplayZones provide category listings that make it easy to find and record the best of what's on TV, whether it's movies, sitcoms, sports, cartoons, or any other TV category. A real-time key-word search, lets viewers find their favorite titles, subjects, actors or directors, then ReplayTV records these old or new favorites. The ReplayTV Service includes the recently introduced MyReplayTV, a web portal where viewers can find out about TV programming, gather additional information about shows of interest and control the ReplayTV Service and digital video recorder via the Internet.
