FRANCE: Taittinger MD beats back rival family offer

Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger, managing director of the eponymous Champagne house, has waved away a bid for a controlling stake from his cousin - and insisted he owns the business. Mr. Taittinger today (18 January) dismissed an offer from Amaury Taittinger, who is looking to buy at least a 51% stake in the world's sixth-largest Champagne producer.
