Systembolaget has been criticised for not renewing its product range and for increasing prices.

The Swedish Competition Authority, KVV, said late last week that the state-owned alcohol retailing monopoly introduces around 1,000 alcohol products annually, but only 160 of them end up in the retailer's regular product range.

Already established products remain on the shelves for eight years on average.

KVV also said that the company has not reduced prices, although costs have decreased in many of its stores.
