US marketeers Strong Brands has appointed Laura Belocas to the post of national marketing director.

Belocas, who has worked for Bacardi, SKYY Vodka, Hamptons Vodka and Evian water, will be overseeing the marketing of Floot, a new canned sparkling wine, and 80 Strong, a new Kentucky Bourbon.

The brands, from independent Kentucky based producer Strong Spirits, have both been launched within the last nine months.

"Laura is young and hip and knows how to speak to our target market," said Michael Kanbar, president of Strong Brands. "She's got a lot of experience and a great reputation in the industry.  I couldn't think of anyone better suited to this job for these brands."
