PepsiCo has confirmed a change of senior VP for sports marketing at its Gatorade division.

The company said yesterday (29 June) that Jennifer Storms will replace Jeff Urban in the position. Storms joins Gatorade from Turner Broadcasting Systems, where she held the position of SVP for sports marketing and programming.

In her new role, Storms will assume leadership of Gatorade's sports strategy and property management including league, team, and athlete relations.

"Jeff has been an integral part of Gatorade's success for more than a decade," said Sarah Robb-O'Hagan, chief marketing officer of Gatorade. "We thank him for his dedication and commitment.

"Her (Storms') experience with innovative multi-media sports platforms, including television, talent and digital across just about every major sport, will allow us to evolve our overall sports marketing approach."

Storms plans to relocate to Chicago in August.
