US: Soyuz Victan increases Silk US distribution
Soyuz Victan USA has added to its distribution footprint for its Silk Vodka brand in the US.
The US arm of the Ukrainian company announced yesterday (16 July) that it has appointed Wine Warehouse as its distributor in California.
The appointment follows the success of a limited number of accounts in the state for Silk Vodka that were already being run through MHW, Soyuz Victan said. Based on that initial success and the support behind Silk Vodka, Wine Warehouse has agreed to distribute Silk Vodka state wide.
"We are very excited about the prospect of working with Wine Warehouse in California. Silk Vodka is their entry into the super premium Russian vodka category," said Mark McKethan, president and general manager of Soyuz Victan USA.
Wine Warehouse launched Silk Vodka across California in June.
Silk Vodka will assist Wine Warehouse's efforts in Los Angeles and San Francisco with Silk market managers, who are on the street supporting the accounts. Additionally, the company will supply promotional materials, help with events and conduct promotions. As distribution is established, Silk Vodka's 'You just know when it is Silk' advertising will follow locally, although no time scale was given.
"Silk Vodka complements Wine Warehouses portfolio of fine wines, specialty beers and super premium spirits," said Ed Rose spirits manager. "California is a very large super premium market and with a premium product like Silk Vodka and with the support that Soyuz Victan USA provides the sales potential for Silk Vodka in California is unlimited."
Soyuz Victan has been upping its presence in the US throughout this year, with distribution now secured in 15 states, including Texas, Georgia and Alabama.
