Australian wine group, Southcorp, has sold its Rouge Homme winery in the Coonawarra region of South Australia. However the company, Australia's largest wine concern, will retain the Rouge Homme brand and trading identity.

The move follows the recent sale of the company's Tulloch winery in the New South Wales Hunter Valley and is the final phase of a programme of winery rationalisation at the group. The rationalisation has so far yielded A$15m in cash from disposals. The group is centralising production in Coonawarra at its larger Wynns winery, currently undergoing expansion and development.
