SodaStream has followed its recent tie-up with Kraft Foods in the US with a similar agreement with Campbell Soup Company in the country.

The Israel-based firm, which released a strong set of year-to-date numbers last week, said today (12 November) that it will licence Campbell’s V8 Splash and V8 V-Fusion brands for its namesake home carbonation machines. The move follows the Kraft Foods deal, announced at the beginning of the year.

V8 Splash concentrates will include Tropical Blend, Berry Blend and Fruit Medley, while V8 V-Fusion concentrates Strawberry Banana, Pomegranate Blueberry and Peach Mango will be released. Both line-ups should hit the US during the second quarter of next year.

Further details behind the agreement were not released.

Campbell said that it is targeting “new growth” for its beverage business through the agreement. Back in September, the firm posted sliding operating profits from its US beverage unit for its fiscal full-year, with the vegetable variants of its V8 brand struggling in the 12 months to the end of July.
