Italian scientists are developing a pill-equivalent to a glass of red wine. A team from Pavese Pharma Biochemical Institute in Pavia, Italy are working on a pill which will include a mixture of sugar, amino acids and polyphenols, which are all found in wine, but none of the alcohol.

Red wine has been proved to be good for general health, when taken in moderation. Wine may help to keep arteries clear, reduce heart disease, and provide a lower risk of dementia.
