Ukrainian juice company Sandora has announced plans to launch two new production lines for juice packaging in Tetra Pak cartons, according to local reports.
Ukrainian News Digest said last week that Sandora, which was fully acquired by PepsiAmericas and PepsiCo earlier this month, that the new units will be launched in April at its Meshkovo-Pohorelovo plant in the Mykolaiv region.
The lines will reportedly have the capacity to fill 5,000 two-litre cartons and 20,000 0.2-litre cartons per hour.
PepsiAmericas and PepsiCo's purchase of the remaining 20% stake in Sandora was recently valued by the two companies at US$136.7m giving them total control of the juice company.
While PepsiAmericas handles the day-to-day operations of the business, PepsiCo oversees brand development at Sandora.
Sandora accounts for around 50% of the total juice volume consumed in Ukraine.
Sectors: Soft drinks, Water
