CHINA: San Miguel acquires brands from Shunde

The Hong Kong-listed subsidiary of the Philippine San Miguel drinks group, San Miguel Brewery Hong Kong Ltd., is to acquire beer brands from the Shunde County Brewery in Guangdong Province for $5m. The sale includes the Dragon Beer trademark. San Miguel is also to pay $700,000 to increase its stake in Shunde to 15%.
